Whoa, it’s been awhile since my last update. That needs to change and it will. The goal is to put out 3-4 new articles a week. We will see if that happens that really soon

If you have been to this site before then you’ll notice that I went through a major overhaul with the design. Call it a cleansing of the soul and a turning over a new leaf if you will. I’m starting 2011 with a fresh new look and fresh new goal with the site.

I started this site back in May of 2010 with a goal writing my own personal opinions on social media tools, tech, websites, life and business. That goal still remains but I hope to do that on a grander scale with more updates, opinions and news. So look forward to some great things.

I have never labeled myself as writer for the sole reason that I’m not good at it. This gave me little desire to keep going on a regular basis. Now, I hope to obtain desire and skill by writing MORE. The better I get the more desire I will have.

Where Have I Been?

The last three months have been a whirlwind of emotions and changes in my life. On November 1st I left my day job and started pursuing a passion of mine for sometime. So I left one business venture to enter in a new one. I’ll leave it at that, but now that the holidays are over I’m excited to see what will happen in 2011.

It is going to be hard to juggle this new exciting business venture, this site and my loving family (not any particular order ) but I’m up to the challenge and I hope you will join me in this journey through this site!

What’s new with the site?

The front page was designed with less of a blog type feel to more of a magazine style site.  This, I hope, will give you more newer articles on the front page to browse without having to search.

On the category pages I have placed the most commented and popular articles towards the top.  This will give the readers the most interesting content that has been written.  Then they can browse the newer articles at the bottom.  I’m not sure how this will pan out because older articles will be placed on top but it will be the most interesting.  So there is a little give and take but I am willing to change that as more content is written.

In the sidebar I have incorporated a couple new areas.  The “Daily Favorite Video” section allows me to place videos that I find; interesting, funny or relevant to the site.  I love videos and I needed a place to include them.  I could have put favorite videos in posts but I hate video only posts and no text.

Also I have incorporated a “Popular All Time” section in the sidebar.  This will list the blog posts that have been viewed the most of all time.  The only trouble is it’s not retroactive from when I incorporated this area.  There are a couple posts that have been viewed 1,000′s of times in the past but they are not listed here.  Overtime it will average out.

There are a couple more changes done but not worth mentioning.  There will be more tweaking as fresh content becomes available and more frequent.  I have a laundry list of things that still need to be incorporated and fixed but I feel good about the launch.
